About Mums Who Run
We offer members personalized training plans for your goal race, weekly group long runs and a weekly speed or hill training session - both led by experienced running mums.
We know first hand how hard it can be to find time to for yourself, let alone to work out. Our group meet ups take this into consideration. We meet Tuesday nights (10km, half and full marathon) and Thursday nights (learn to run) at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 6 a.m.
The location of the group runs and work outs will be either in South Burlington or the Stoney Creek area (have you seen the hills there?!)
Sara has been running for most of her life, however; she fell in love with road races about 10 years ago - the rest is history! With over a dozen half marathons, 12 marathons two 50km races and a 50 miler under her belt, she is no stranger to pounding the pavement - and more recently the trails.
When not training for marathons, Sara runs after the men in her life - Carter (7) and twins Easton and Hayden (4). Sara ran through both of her pregnancies and knows how challenging it is to find the time to train and work out with little ones at home. She also teaches grade 1/2 - so if she can do it, so can you! Sara is looking forward to meeting fellow mums who run and working with them to achieve their running goals.
Katherine had always loved living a healthy, active lifestyle, but was looking for something a little different. Sara suggested they run a 10km race together and ever since then they haven’t looked back. Along with Sara, Katherine has run a dozen half marathons, 13 marathons two 50km races and a 50 miler.
As mum to Harper (3.5) Katherine knows how challenging it can be to find time for yourself with a little one around. She also ran throughout her pregnancy and she completed the Ottawa Marathon at 6.5 months postpartum. She is now expecting baby #2 and keeping up her 10km distance for right now. She is looking forward to meeting some running mums in the area and getting out and hitting the roads.
